The Importance of Proper Drainage
"Trust me. Water does a lot of damage."
House inspection was Wednesday. We found some trouble spots in the home I'm buying, particularly at the foundation.
Contractor came in to do quotes yesterday and it seems that by the time the two main issues I had addressed are resolved I will have paid approximately $500 more than what the house was selling for.
That leads me to this: I dunno what it is, but God is just blessing me a lot right now. Not by giving me stuff, but just by giving me this kind of opportunity. All the flukey stuff, y'know?
I mean, the whole house is livable, and I'm still getting it on track for less than $90K. I was worried that the quotes would start to exceed my mortgage limit, but nope, it's all reasonable.
His eye is on the sparrow.
That relieves me greatly.

90K?!?!?!?! you can't even buy a dog house in bc's lower mainland for 90k!! oh, beloved northland, how i miss thee!!
I know, Steph. It's so unreal...it's the plus side to living in Timmins.
Now lets hope the insurance folk think the same way...
Glad there weren't a lot of hidden costs... because the repair costs could be pricey in an older home. I drove by before I left, and I think you need a new shingles... just an observation, but what do i know, I do websites for a living! LOL When do you take possession??
August 11.
I do need new shingles. I think that's at Thanksgiving.
*Sigh* As someone still living at home, did you know you're now my hero? Congrats on the purchase!
Hey Gillian,
Keep your chin up...eventually everyone leaves home. I guess I'm a part of that proof.

Awesome to hear how the Lord is blessing you up in Timmins my friend. I pray and know he will continue to do so. Say hi to the North for me, I miss it!
